Tzatziki Sauce with Turkey Meatballs & Naan
I recently got my Mediterranean kick going on in the kitchen and with the warmer weather coming, this easy dish is refreshing on those hotter days. If you are unsure or never heard of Tzatziki, click here. I decided to serve the Tzatziki with Turkey meatballs but it goes with other
meats and sides, and of course you can’t go wrong with Naan bread.
Ingredients for Tzatziki
- 2 cups plain Greek yogurt (I used Fage 0%)
- 2 cups diced or shredded cucumber (Peel and Deseeded)
- ½ cup fresh dill (minced)
- ¼ cup lemon juice
- 2 garlic cloves
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ¼ teaspoon pepper

Directions:
Drain any liquid from the yogurt and place in medium mixing bowl. Pick either diced or shredded cucumbers or do your own thing.
If Diced: Peel Cucumbers and slice lengthwise into quarters. Cut out the seeds in the middle and dice remaining. Alternatively you could use a food processor or blender for 3-5 seconds.
If Shredded: Peel cucumbers and continue to peel until seeds are exposed.
Else: do your own thing
Place cucumbers and the rest of ingredients in bowl and mix. Chill before serving. Consistency should be smooth, if there is too much liquid you may have to drain in cheesecloth for a couple minutes before serving. Serve with Naan bread and Turkey Meatballs. Serves 2-4 people.
